Of course, like everybody you only purchases that you are fond of but there is no reason to be taken in. Among all the items which are presented on the art market some furniture, paintings and other objects of art reach outstanding prices like one million, ten millions Euros. These transactions which make the headlines of the newspapers only concerns the museums and fabulously rich people but represents less that one percent of all the thousands daily transaction which really constitute the art market. Most of the valuable objects are sold at a price between is determined by their rarity but even more by their preservation state. Their aesthetics is for sure very important for the antiques lover, who must only purchase that they are fond of : as one adores a mongrel, one my also be mad of a furniture or object having a doubtful origin.
